Ryder Hale Matz joined our beautiful world this afternoon, after a bit of an adventurous morning. Profuse bleeding, a Flight for Life helicopter ride to Denver and an emergency c-section all led up to his miraculous birth.At birth Ryder was 30 weeks, 6 days old in utero, weighed 2lbs, 14 oz and was approximately 16.5 inches long.
As to be expected, Ryder has breathing and oxygen machines helping him, but he is grower stronger by the minute! Check out the light brown, fuzzy hair on his tiny head.
Ryder is in the best neo-natal intensive care unit in Colorado, and we know that he is in good hands. Welcome to the Matz Family Farm, big guy!
