Emergency 911

What a scary day! During nap time at school, Ryder spiked a high fever, had a febrile seizure, and was slipping in and out of consciousness. After a quick trip in the ambulance to the hospital, Ryder stopped seizing. He was then poked, prodded and tested.

After some follow up testing the next morning, Ryder was given the 'all clear'. Just a nasty virus with a quickly rising fever. Some meds, lots of rest, and extra love... and Ryder is on the mend!

Ironically, this past week at Ryder's school his class has been learning about emergencies, 911, ambulances, fire trucks, police cars, etc. When he was more alert at the hospital, Mommy told Ryder that he had an emergency and had to ride in the ambulance to the hospital. To which Ryder weakly replied: "Call 911!" Good boy.
