FourMile Canyon Fire Revival Concert

We are so absolutely blessed to live in a supportive and kind mountain community. Tonight, Mommy and Daddy went with the Steins and the Webers to an awesome benefit concert to help the Fire Departments and Families effected by the recent, devastating Four Mile Canyon fire.

Everyone from the bands to the stagehands donated their time, and the outcome was a once in a lifetime event. The line up included amazing bands who live in the surrounding mountain communities, many of whom had to evacuate during the fire:

+ Leftover Salmon
+ Yonder Mountain String Band
+ Big Head Todd and the Monsters
+ The String Cheese Incident
+ And special appearances by the members of Phish!! (well, they are not from the CO mountains)

The amount of musical talent hidden in these hills is mind blowing!

Anyway, here's a small sampling of what we experienced... Trey and Mike (from Phish) played an amazing old-school set including Waste, Possum, Sample in a Jar, Bathtub Gin, and more! At the end of the show, all of the musicians got together for a few songs, and it was pure love!

The evening included over 6 hours of music, special tributes to the heroic firemen and women, cross-band jam sessions and a whole lotta singing and dancing.

Now if only there was such a thing as a 'the morning after' babysitter!
